Hand-writing fonts

For this site I’m mostly using SIL’s Gentium Plus font, which has excellent Unicode support for Latin and Cyrillic script.

Gentium also looks nice without adjustments to the line height, which is a plus for inline math with MathJax.

I’d like to vary this a bit with a friendly hand-writing font. I love Kimberly Geschwein’s very readable Architects Daughter, but it’s missing a few key bits that I will want to have, like letters with dots below for Arabic transliteration, and it has no Cyrillic support at all.

In fact, I’ve only found two fonts that do cover the character range I’m interested in, minus Greek. Kevin Burke’s Pangolin is also very readable, but it’s a bit rough and heavy:

Impallari Type’s Caveat has similarly good coverage and the lighter touch I’d like, but I’m not sure it’s readable enough:

And then there’s the missing Greek, which I’m sure I’ll want sooner or later.
